Insistent on vengeance, the two kidnapped Nick, abused him, and had him hold up signs claiming that he abused women. Prior to the reveal of Nick’s killers, audiences got to see who exactly it was that kidnapped the loving husband, and, spoiler, it was not Dawn and Ed but two other culprits, Simon and Daryl, who were close to Sarah Oxley, the woman who took her life because of Dawn. One online relationship, in particular, turned sour after Dawn pushed a woman named Sarah Oxley to suicide after pretending to be a cold and cruel Nick.ĭawn was charged for her role, while Ed was killed in a standoff with police. ![]() Later in the series, it was revealed that Dawn used Nick’s photo and personal information (without his knowledge) to create fake dating profiles to engage in toxic virtual relationships with several women. In order to preserve both his and his wife’s freedom that was threatened when Nick stated that he would turn Dawn in for impersonating him, Ed took a hammer and bloodied Nick’s head, leaving him to die on their kitchen floor.Įven though her husband was the one responsible for the murder, Dawn still had blood on her hands, however, it wasn’t just Nick’s. Ed was shown to be immensely devoted to his wife, Dawn, willing to do anything to clean up the huge mess she made that got Nick in this mess in the first place. Nick Brewer’s killer was revealed to be none other than his co-worker’s husband, Ed Gleed. However, if you would prefer to rip the band-aid right off and know who was responsible for killing this father of two, we’re here to fill you in on just who the unexpected culprit was revealed to be. ![]() The somber status of Nick’s whereabouts was revealed in the second episode, leaving the audience with six episodes to figure out who exactly murdered Nick Brewer. Naturally, his family didn’t believe this was the same guy that they lived with, so they took it into their own hands to clear his name before his hostage video reached 5 million views which would mean the end of his life. Several wild goose chases and dead ends later, Nick Brewer, unfortunately, was slain. His lies and numerous counts of infidelity began to be revealed as many women started to come forward claiming that he was in a committed relationship with them and was sometimes very toxic in his behavior. However, as the story progressed, we began to see that this goody-two-shoes character was too good to be true. The series opened up with the kidnapping of Nick Brewer, a character who, at face value, seemed to be a loving husband, father, and son.
